Kyoshi Danny Talia
Kyoshi Danny Talia is a 6th degree blackbelt in jiu-jitsu with over 30 years of experience.
My name is Kyoshi Danny Talia. I have over 30 years of experience in jiu-jitsu and was promoted to Kyoshi 6th Degree Black Belt in 2019.
Prior to founding the American Nihon Jiu-Jitsu school in 2018, I served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1986 before working as a bouncer in some of New York’s premier nightclubs and bars for over 15 years. During this time, I also worked as a bodyguard for A-list celebrities. I have significant coaching experience, which greatly helps me in my role as a jiu-jitsu instructor. For over 15 years, I coached the Long Island Rebels, a youth travel hockey team for ages 5 to 18 years old. I also served as an assistant coach for the Long Island Royals Junior Hockey team, bringing them to the national championships in 2010. Additionally, I served as an assistant coach at the Long Island Empire State Games, where my team won the silver medal.
